It's Time to Act Like a Human Being 一封巴基斯坦青年的心聲

Cindy妳好，我是賽夫‧拉納‧賽夫拉。希望妳過得都還好，真的知道妳在台灣過得很快樂時還有在想念巴基斯坦，真是「太美好了」，我們也很想妳。

沒錯呀，巴基斯坦是從獨立後都一直陷在困境，我不知道該如何說起，但是讓我先和所有的台灣朋友們說聲好吧，Hello TaiwaneseJ!!

容許我先做完巴基斯坦這個詞的介紹，就是他本身的含意和我自己的感受。我真的很以身為巴基斯坦人為榮！真的如此。 而現在這個時刻正是我們需要忘記我們在社會文化上、地區上、信仰上的差異，超越這一些分歧然後專注在「救人」這部分。通常我們會將人分類成巴基斯坦人、印度人、台灣人、中國人、俄羅斯人等等，但很不幸地我們都忘記了其實我們通通都是「人」。天啊為了老天的緣故，不要再分你我，現在這個時刻不但是大自然挑戰巴基斯坦「人」，就是那些因為最近巴基斯坦水災而喪失了自己家、孩子和一切事物的人；大自然其實是在挑戰我所有世界上的人，看看他們到底能夠為巴基斯坦人的福祉做出什麼貢獻，我們是人啊！

我的家很平安，但因為我是個「人」所以我並沒有安逸於自己的舒適人生。也因為我是個人，我能夠體會並聆聽那些飛機墜落受難者的哭納。 我們都是「人」，然後才是分為巴基斯坦人。

沒想到在飛機墜落的意外之後很快的上天又給巴基斯坦一個艱難的考驗，這一次我們的水災甚至比海嘯甚至核武還可怕！對，它就好像是個沒有聲音的核武器。既然媒體都一直在報導了，大概也不需要我再說什麼關於水災的細節，但我想要強調的是，在這樣的災難裡我們不應該再說「噢你是印度教徒，噢你是基督徒，噢你是回教徒」，我說過了還要再說，就是這個宗教也無關，因為我們都是人阿。

我不是很清楚到底別人是怎麼說巴基斯坦的，他們到底怎麼想其實我想我大概也不想多說。但我能告訴你的一件事是，也就是我剛才本來要講的事，巴基斯坦的含意是「純潔人的土地」，那是我們的身分。可是你知道嗎？我們的困難是因為我們的領導者。這真的很懸啊，一個國家給外界的印象竟然就是憑著它的領導者和政策和那位領導者做的決定。 但實際上，他不能代表我們。領者者不過只是反映著極小部分的社會。

那再來談談我們所得到的救援資金好了，喔我親愛的台灣朋友們，我希望告訴你們我們真的需要你們的貢獻，但是，拜託你們不要給錯了人。報章雜誌告訴我現在全世界都不相信我們。如果可能的話我懇求你可以不相信我們的政府，但要相信我們的人民。我真的很遺憾巴基斯坦真正善的那面都沒被世界看到─我們對所有兄弟的和睦與愛心。因為有恐怖攻擊事件、有墜機和現在的水災，巴基斯坦人正在喪失他們的親人與朋友，但是整個世界對我們還是有錯誤的觀念！ 天呀，我們自己的國人在這些事情上比任何其他國家的人都喪失了更多的生命，但是外界卻還在指責我們。我們被這水災影響，但是捐贈國卻還在懷疑。

最後我想說的，其實是對我親愛的台灣朋友們的小小要求─現在是我們像人類一樣行動的時候！一隻手的五根手指頭都長得不一樣，所以說巴基斯坦的每個人也都不一樣。你可能見過許多的巴基斯坦人，但真正的巴基斯坦人是充滿著聖潔、愛心與義氣。其實不管你能不能對水災災民的福祉做些具體的貢獻，你都能多愛我們的人民一些，你知道他們也都是人啊！

Cindy妳有問我說該從台灣帶什麼給我，而我所期待的就是妳帶台灣人的愛心，好讓我能分享這些愛給更多的人。也帶給我長者的祝福，讓我們有能力可以打這場仗。

Hello Cindy. Its me Saif. Rana Saifullah. Hope things are going well. “wonderful to know that you are having fun back in home and missing Pakistan at the same time J. We miss you too.

And yes indeed, Pakistan is trapped into the most disastrous condition ever since its independence. I don’t know where to begin but first of all say big hi to Taiwanese people from my side. Hello Taiwanese J !!!

I would like to confine my introduction to the word Pakistani and the feeling it gives to me. I am proud to be a Pakistani! Nothing else. And it’s the time when we need to forget the socio-cultural, regional and religious differences and go beyond the clutches of traditions to save the humanity. People classified the nations as Pakistanis, Indians, Taiwanese, Chinese, Russians and etc. unfortunately we forget that we are human beings first !!! for God sake enough of being what we think of us. It’s the time when nature is testing not only Pakistani people (Pakistani human beings) who lost their home, children and almost every thing in recent deadly floods; but also a test for the people living in various parts of the world that how much they can contribute towards the welfare of the people of Pakistan. The Human beings !!!. My house is safe and therefore, I should not be having trouble with my life. But I am a Human being. And because of that, I can feel and hear the cries that came from the victims of plane crash. We, as a human being first and then as Pakistani, did not recover from it completely that Almighty put us into another test and this time, the biggest calamity mankind has ever seen. Greater than tsunami and deadliest as nuke. Perhaps a silent nuke. Media being very strong, I don’t need to give an details of the disaster but I can tell you that not even a single person-  a human being  is sad over the loss of lives and shelter of millions of people. The identity of these flood affectees is not confined to religion. There are Hindus and Christian brothers too who lost their home. And like I said, its not being Muslim, Hindu, Christian or even Pakistani. Its about being a human being.

I don’t know what people say about Pakistan and what they perceive, or perhaps I don’t want to share. But one thing I can tell you. “Pakistan means land of pure people”. And that’s what we are. You know what the dilemma is? Its our leadership. that’s a myth that countries are recognized on the basis of their leadership and policies that they made and decisions they take. Truly speaking, we are not about them. They are not the mirror of the society.

Talking about aid we are getting, so all my dear Taiwanese people, I would like to tell you that we do need your contributions but please don’t give it in wrong hands. I read in newspapers that world don’t trust us. I would like to request you that please trust us but don’t trust our government. I am sorry to say this but the real image of Pakistan is yet to be shown. Which conveys the message of peace, love for all and brotherhood. Pakistani people are losing their kith and kin on both ends. May it be in terrorism activities, plane crash or flood. Its us who are losing. Yet, world has wrong perceptions about us. Hello!!! We are losing our men more than any other country in so called war against terrorism and yet we are blamed for that. We are affected by flood and yet world over, donating countries have doubts.

I want to end on a message and on a request to dear Taiwanese people. It’s the time to act as human being. All fingers of a hand are not same. In a same way, every individual in Pakistan is not the same. Who knows you met and heard about a wrong person. Real essence of being a Pakistani lies in purity. Love. Brotherhood. No matter you contribute for the welfare of flood affectees or not, atleast have some love for Pakistani people. As they are human beings too. !!!!

Cindy you asked what I need when you come back. Do bring a lot of love of Taiwanese people so I can distribute it amongst the people here. Do bring prayers of elders so we shall have the courage to fight the greatest disaster.
